Event Details

You are invited to the grand opening of Enchanted Forest recycled art exhibition. This is a community event, everyone is welcome, especially kids.

Aa is for art is very excited to be collaborating with the South Kingsville Community Centre to coordinate and run recyclable art classes for kids during the September/October school holidays which will be free to all participants. This has been possible through an Environment grant from Hobsons Bay City Council.

The theme is ‘Enchanted Forest’, we will be drawing inspiration from artists who use recycled materials to create their work. Participants will work on collaborative and individual pieces of art using recycled materials such as plastic drink bottles, pool noodles, beer cans and egg cartons, which will be displayed at an exhibition that will decorate the foyer and hallway at the SKCC with the big opening on Thursday the 10th of October. The artwork will be on display for 2 weeks after the opening.

Light refreshments will be served including wine, beer and champagne (gold coin donation).

We still need a few volunteers to help run the classes and put the exhibition together, please message Anna from Aa is for Art is you want to get involved. Must have a working with children and police check.
