The Westsider local newspaper is a free publication built on the passion and creativity of community journalism, reaching homes and businesses across the western suburbs. Featuring stories, articles, events and more, it generates a cycle of awareness, engagement, interaction and participation.

The Westsider was relaunched with the support of Inner West Community Enterprises in February 2017 as a monthly newspaper providing a local voice.

Founded in 2014 as a government funded work-for-dole project, it is now considered part of the community fabric. When government funding ceased, the paper continued to be a free media resource thanks to the support of Inner West Community Enterprises and local businesses.

If you would like to support The Westsider, whether as a contributor, advertiser or sponsor, you can contact a member of our team via email. And don’t forget to check us out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram too.
